Fish is a very popular type of food for cats.
It is advisable to be cooked before serving it to it, as is the case for meat, chicken and liver, and fish gives the cat very important substances and nutrients for its health, such as iodine, phosphorus, as well as vitamins such as vitamin A, vitamin E, and vitamin D, as well as providing it with protein.
The cat can be given tuna and canned sardines, as domestic cats have a great tendency to eat fish, but this does not necessarily mean that it is the best food for them; wild cats often live in dry environments and it is very rare to eat fish, and if domestic cats eat fish as their main food, they will develop a deficiency of many types of minerals and vitamins, so it should not be overfed to cats, but it is useful when it is served to them in a reasonable amount.
Dairy products
Cats can feed on milk, cheese and all dairy products at various stages of their lives, but contrary to popular belief, it is not considered a very good food for the cat, and in fact, it may be dangerous in some cases; milk and its derivatives are useful for cats when they are young, especially in the first eight weeks of their life before they are weaned.
But when she grows up and reaches adulthood, eating milk and its derivatives can cause her problems; her digestive system's ability to absorb lactose (the sugar in milk) decreases a lot, and she may become allergic to milk, which may cause indigestion, diarrhea and dehydration, all of which will reflect negatively on her health. In fact, the only liquid cats need to drink is water, and if you give them the right amounts, they won't need to drink anything else.
Obesity in cats
It is necessary to provide appropriate and useful food for cats, but in reasonable quantities, the goal is to provide them with the elements that their body needs and not fattening them, and therefore also should not provide the cat with food containing large amounts of fat, and must be economical with what is provided to it of fats and oils.
